Provides full service support and services for all non-student events on the UMW main campus, Belmont, and Stafford Campus. Supply support for all conferences on UMW main campus. Supply all support and services to the Office of the President regardless of venue.

General Description of Position

This is a part-time position, 1500 hours per year. This position will provide audio visual set ups and services for all non-student events scheduled by the Events AV Office. Install, Maintain, and update application software and hardware on all Events AV Office equipment. Assist with maintaining, training, set-up, troubleshooting, and running all Audio Visual equipment in Dodd Auditorium. Provide technical advice, and information concerning logistics for events/programs. Execute recording and editing for all Music Department recordings in Dodd Auditorium. Assist in recommendations for future acquisitions of AV equipment.

Required Education

High School Diploma or equivalent training and experience

Required Experience

Skill in the operation of audio visual equipment including analog and digital sound mixing consoles.

Strong organizational skills required to meet scheduling requirements within finite AV resources.

Knowledge of PC and Mac computers.

Preferred Education

Related college degree in the area of audio/sound with concentration in sound reproduction.

Preferred Experience

Experience with Digital Consoles (all types), Crestron Control systems, Live music mixing, basic knowledge of maintenance of Audio-visual equipment.

Skilled in the maintenance of audio visual equipment. Knowledge of PC and Mac computer software applicable to the AV industry; Logic Pro, Microsoft Office, etc.
